I had the pleasure of meeting Randy Johnson, our local pharmacist, this week. If you haven't had the need to fill a prescription and haven't popped by, you might be surprised by all the
Favorite Spot To Visit In Globe Arizona Vida E Caffe
Whether you are a local Globe/Miami resident, occasional visitor or just traveling through -- Vida e Caffé is a MUST!
Co-Owner of Vida e Caffe, Jordan Johnson grew to love baking from an early age. She first saw it through the hands of her mom, who worked as a baker at a grocery store and baked with her daughter at home. In high school, Jordan enrolled into a culinary program which she thrived in. She earned a bit of a scholarship to attend the Art Institute of Phoenix. After moving to the East Coast following graduation in 2005, Jordan moved back to Globe in 2006 and helped open and run The Copper Parrot Restaurant. The restaurant lost funding which led Jordan to opening a company called The Catering, where she has been highly successful. She has kept busy with hundreds of orders and participates in local events.
Along the way, in 2006, came Vida E Caffe , which means “life and coffee”. It is a family run business that along with Jordan, is operated by her father and brother. Collectively, the three wanted to be involved more with the community and wanted their shop to be for all walks of life.
“ …from ages two – one hundred and two, we wanted the community to get what they deserved. A place that has something refreshing with free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. A place that they can stay as long as they’d like” --- Jordan Johnson
Vida E Caffe has a variety of menu items - fruit infused water, smoothies, gluten free and paleo pastries, desserts, boba, kombucha, tea, juices and of course coffee! They are working on new menus featuring an omelette station , fusion tacos, gourmet paninis and expanding their paleo options. In addition, they hope to open a food truck or cart. In the evenings, Vida E Caffe hosts music nights, game nights and tournaments. They are striving to grow and keep things new and fresh as times change and interests evolve.
To anyone interested in starting up their own culinary business, Jordan has a bit of advice : start small with a food truck or a little shack on the side of the road. With little overhead and not a high start up cost, you can work your own hours and have minimal staff. You can change location if needed and sell your equipment if you decide against it in the future. Vida E Caffe started small, using refurbished espresso machines and only recently upgraded.
Jordan credits their success to loyal staff, low debt and most importantly, because they invest their hearts into their shop. They really care about the community and what residents of Globe desire.
